On behalf of the Organizing Committee and of the Executive Committee of the European Chapter of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology (EC-IFCN), I have the privilege to send you, your collaborators and the Neuroscientific community of your Institution and of your Country the 1st announcement of the congress that the EC-IFCN will organize in Rome in 2011.
On this occasion, we will also enjoy in joining the 4th International Congress on Transcranial and Direct Current Stimulation which was traditionally organized by Prof. Walter Paulus in Goettingen.
In fact, we enthusiastically accepted his kind proposal to have the next edition in Rome.
Our efforts have already focused in finding out a meeting place enabling us to combine the excellent standards of the previous editions of the European Congress of clinical neurophysiology which were held in Stockholm in 2005 and in Istanbul in 2008 (just to remind the most recent editions) with an excellent congress program (providing the best practice both in clinical and research activities) and low registration fees.
Our main aim, indeed, is to gather in Rome a large audience highly representative of the new generation of young clinical neurophysiologists from all over the ‘enlarged’ geographical area of the IFCN European Chapter.
Rome is waiting for you, your Collaborators, your friends and Families, you will enjoy its historical monuments, its millenarian tradition, the ancient and present roots of Christianity, the Rome climate, cuisine, cultural and touristic attractive, the warmth of Roman people and the magnificent monuments and signatures of the Etruscan, Latin, Greek, Jewish, Arabic, French, Spanish, German, British cultures which along the centuries overlapped in a unique mosaic.
With the help and support of the IFCN-European Chapter Executive Committee, of the Italian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology and of a large international Advisory Board, we are building-up a strong and competitive program stemming from educational and didactic courses for everyday activity in CN toward the most advanced research and clinical applications. In this edition, such a large body of activities will also be enriched by the contents of the 4th International Congress on Transcranial Magnetic and Direct Current Stimulation.
We all looking forward to meeting you in Rome in june 2011. We are actively working to make this experience unforgettable both on the scientific and emotional point of view.
Arrivederci a Roma!
Paolo Maria Rossini
