Minimal Invasive NeuroSurgery is a new philosophy to treat Nervous System diseases.
Next world congress of the ISMINS, that will be held in Florence in 2012, will pave the way for this new therapeutical approach. The aim of this congress will be the perfect setting for presenting the up-to-date treatments, operative procedures, clinical and technological advances.
Minimally Invasive NeuroSurgery is a methodology requiring smaller opening and less brain retraction when compared with the conventional surgery, with the intent of reaching different pathologies through natural openings, like a nostril or small incisions with minimal or no brain retraction. The purpose is to get to target the pathology while minimizing the trauma to the surrounding healthy nervous system and other tissues.
The program, with invited outstanding speakers from all around the world and oral presentations, will cover all the fields of neurosurgery and degenerative neurological diseases, and will be the ground for an open discussion.
It will be planned in different sections:
| Giovanni Broggi, M.D. President of the Congress |
Yoko Kato, M.D. President of ISMINS |
